Swift Cruiser 14.8 | Osgood Pond
The Pack Canoe
These versatile, light-weight solo canoes originated in the Adirondacks and are perfectly suited to exploring the area. Pack Canoes are designed to be easily portable, highly maneuverable and comfortable to paddle. The low seat position provides reassuring stability and the thoughtful hull designs balance ease of turning with good straight-line performance. Commonly paddled with a double blade but some models also lend themselves to single blade too. These wonderful boats are equally at home in narrow creeks and rivers, small ponds and on open lakes.
When it comes to getting to or from the water or traversing between waterways during your paddling trip, this is where their light-weight construction comes into its own. Lifting on or off the car is a breeze and for portage they are light enough to just be carried on the shoulder or with a detachable yoke, if you prefer.
Listed below are the most popular pack canoes that we sell with some brief information about them. Please reach out to discuss your requirements with us and we we'll be happy to guide you further.
